LAWRENCE CASEY

Lawrence Casey studied Architecture at the University of Arkansas. He moved on to

study Theater Design at the Yale Drama Department .

Mr. Casey has designed scenery and/or costumes for numerous theaters, including

the Guthrie, The San Francisco Opera, Great Lakes Theater Festival, Cincinnati

Playhouse in the Park, Shakespeare Theater in Washington D.C., Center Stage in

Baltimore, "Pilobolus", Eliot Field Dance Company, and many more.

His film credits include: Do the Right Thing and Malcolm X.

He has painted scenery for Noland's, Hudson Scenic Studios, Show Tech and The

Metropolitan Opera.

He has worked almost exclusively for Scenic Art Studios since its inception in

1994. His credits for drop painting at Scenic Art Studios include pieces for The

Producers, 42nd Street, Little Shop of Horrors, Annie Get Your Gun, The Swan, Into

The Woods, Urban Cowboy, Scarlet Pimpernel, Mr. Roberts, Bombay Dreams,

Christmas Across America, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Drowsey Chaperone, and most

recently, Minsky's .
