JON RINGBOM
Jon has been a scenic artist far longer than he will admit. Upon discovering that his prodigious talent could be coupled with a taste for the bizarre and a sixth sense as to just how much people would put up with, he launched his career at San Diego State with no clear purpose. This resulted in aimless wandering throughout the regional theatrical world, NYC, Canada, Mexico and other areas where labor was cheap and talent sparse.
Although there have been a few hits, like Ransom, Stepmom, The Royal Tenenbaums, and You've Got Mail, the body of his work has consisted of the obscure and economically challenged: El Gringo Viego, Billy Bathgate, Consenting Adults, (an Alan Pakula film nobody mentions), Romeo is Bleeding, Pollock and the ever popular Poltergeist 3.
Due to either boredom or necessity, he also completed such off-brand projects as The Mahabarata for B.A.M., and film adaptions Six Degrees of Separation, Prelude to a Kiss and Angels In America.
Sprinkled in between everything have been some failed Television series and an interrupted teaching career that resulted in him marrying one of his students.
